Essential Phone / Android Pie: No connection from Sleep as Android to Notify Amazefit Bip

Hi,

On my Essential Phone with Android Pie the connection from Sleep as Android to the current Notify Amazefit on my Bip watch doesn't work, it waits forever. Any idea how I can fix this? The same setup on other phones on Oreo works fine...

Same issue on a Pixel XL. Since the update to Pie, Sleep as Android cannot connect to the Bip.
