How to pair a watch to Notify app
Prerequisites
- There is no old band paired on your phone Bluetooth devices list (remove if present)
- Official app was working correctly before
- You are connecting to the band using only one phone/tablet
- You have a GENUINE Xiaomi / Amazfit watch. Check if you can see MI/Amazfit logo on the rear
- There is no power-saving Android/app running that may block/close Notify app while running in the background. See dontkillmyapp.com
- Try long press the watch button to do a hard reset, if watch stuck at the boot screen
How to pair your watch when also the official app is installed
Warning: new Amazfit watches models may not be pairable while connected to the official app.
Kill (remove all app permissions) or remove the official app if Notify app cannot discover your smartwatch initially
- Check official app is installed and correctly working with your watch
- Suggested: reset and repair your watch first on the official app if you are getting connection issues
- Ensure the official app is running correctly in the background otherwise, also Notify app will not be able to stay connected with your watch
- Enable status bar notification indication (Watch connected/disconnected) on official app general settings

- Open Notify App (better if you uninstall and reinstall Notify app to reset all settings) and follow the initial pairing tutorial
- Associate your watch
- On the second wizard screen, choose "Official is installed" option
- Finish the pairing procedure
- Enabled notification access for both apps: Notify and the official app
- Turn off app notifications on the official app to prevent receiving duplicated notifications on your watch
New firmware are limiting un-official app support, these features are not working: custom vibrations, band settings, smart alarms, button custom actions (music player mode), quick reply, native reminders, phone, calendars events sync, clear band notification, weather, firmware/resources/font upload, shower mode, idle alert.
Please consider stopping to use the official app and run only the Notify app standalone to get all features working.
How to pair your watch without the official app installed
- Suggested: Hard reset your watch. Open the watch Settings menu and choose Factory reset option
- Obtain the Auth key of your watch (if required) - Check how to get the auth key tutorial
- Do a phone reboot and keep enabled phone GPS
- Uninstall theofficial app without unpairing the watch
- Open Notify App (better if you uninstall and reinstall Notify app to reset all settings) and follow the initial pairing tutorial
- Associate your watch
- On second wizard screen, choose Official app not installed option
- Input the Auth key code
- Finish the pairing procedure
Additional configuration
To get the best results, stop using the official app and keep only one app connected with your watch.
If the pairing procedure was not successful, please hard reset your watch, uninstall and reinstall the Notify app and repeat the procedure.

New firmwares limitations
Watches with firmware released after mid 2021 (Mi Band 4, Mi Band 5, Mi Band 6, Amazfit Bip S, Bip Lite, Bip U, Verge Lite, Amazfit GTR, Amazfit GTS, Amazfit T-Rex, Zepp, ... ) have some limitations.
When also the official app is installed, these features are not working: custom vibrations, band settings, smart alarms, button custom actions (music player mode), quick reply, native reminders, phone, calendars events sync, clear band notification, weather, firmware/resources/font upload, shower mode, idle alert.
To get all features working you have to stop using the official app.
