Have you tried to clear the cache of the app in the Android settings? Assuminig that you use Android ofcourse :-)
clearing cache doesn't work .... same behaviour...app crashing
Not to pile on but I'm getting same results on Pixel. Email with logs sent to developer.
Update 5.5.4 solved it !
just installed right now and working
